"One of my favourite destinations as a child to travel to was BEECHWORTH Victoria."
This would be an annual trip for my family and I, as we used to hit the road from Melbourne and head to Beechworth to sell our clothing range (Barrier Reef Designs) at the annual Beechworth Festival.
We camped at one of the local caravan parks, the name of which has faded from my memory over the years but it may have been Beechworth Holiday Park.
I had fond memories of the fresh country air, stunning trees, historical town and, of course who can go past, the famous Beechworth Bakery.
It was here where I learnt the importance of such business skills as Yield Management and Customer Service. My beloved Dad also taught me the art of negotiation at the markets; start at the highest price then work your way down.
